INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS WITH MANUSCRIPT CONSULTATION As part of your Writer's Package, the you will receive (if you wish) a reading and critique of the first ten (10) pages of your mystery or suspense manuscript and a synopsis of no more than five (5) pages by an attending agent until such time as all appointments are booked. You will need to submit your manuscript and synopsis pages to our Manuscript Coordinator PRIOR to the conference. Manuscript and synopsis pages must be submitted by ____. They will be given to the agent or editor to read prior to meeting with you. At the conference registration, you will receive a notice giving the exact time that your appointment will be held. The appointment will last approximately ten minutes, during which the agent or editor will give their reaction to your manuscript and synopsis, and its marketability. You will be able to ask questions specific to your work and the way you have presented it. It is a rare and extremely valuable opportunity to have professional agents and editors provide a writer with this kind of specific information about their work. Because of that, these appointments will fill up quickly. If you wish to meet with more than one agent, give us your first and second choices. A waiting list will be created for "second" choices, and if any appointments are open at conference time, such lists will be used. See instructions under Manuscripts for information on submitting your manuscript for this process. While the conference will attempt to give you your choice of meeting with an agent, we may need to make changes depending on appointment availability. You will be notified ahead of time if a change appears necessary. NOTE: These appointment slots are given out first-come, first-served, based on receipt of your paid registration. GENERAL |
